What attracted you to working at Givens Gerber Park?

I have always enjoyed working with my hands. I have the opportunity to fix things every day all while keeping residents comfortable and safe in their homes.

What are a few of your primary responsibilities?

Ensuring that the Givens Gerber Park Grounds have all of the necessary resources needed to complete our daily routines. I also work with and help coordinate outside contractor work on the campus. I complete repairs and follow through with remediations.

How is your job rewarding?

What makes my job rewarding is making an impact on people’s lives every day by being the person there to fix their problems. While I am working in residents’ apartments I get to hear their life stories and the adventures they have been on. I also have a chance to work with a great team who are always willing to go above and beyond for residents. Working here provides me with diversity because I am never doing the same thing every day.

How do you and your team try to make a difference for residents?

My team and I work hard to give new residents a clean and safe home to live in, to keep resident homes safe and everything working well, and to treat everyone with respect along the way.
