Resident recipes- Ms. Dye’s Pepper Relish

The Dye Family Sweet Pepper Relish

2 dozen peppers (red, green or mixed), hot peppers optional
3 cups sugar
2 tablespoons salt
3 onions
3 cups vinegar
2 table spoons mustard seeds

Grind peppers into food processor (not to fine)
Squeeze out all the liquid
Add to pot or pan and bring to a boil for about 15 minutes
Put in jars and seal
(if to dry add 1 cup sugar and 1 cup vinegar)
