Resident Recipes- Southern Mac and Cheese
The Orange Family Southern Mac and Cheese
Serving size: 4 people
1 16oz box of elbow pasta
1 cup of Mozzarella cheese
2 cups of Velveeta cheese
2 cups of Colby & Monterey Jack cheese
1 8oz package of cream cheese
2 cups of milk (warmed)
1/2 stick of butter
Pre heat over to 350 degrees
Cook and drain elbow macaroni and place in 8″ or 9″ baking dish or pan.
In a separate bowl, combine cheeses and mix.
Heat milk in microwave or stove top almost to a boil.
Pour into bowl and mix until melted.
Add in softened butter and mix until melted.
Butter or spray pan or dish.
Pour mixture over the macaroni and combine.
Add salt, pepper, or additional spices for taste.
Please in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes (until lightly golden brown)
Wait until cooled and serve.
